OK. So here is the thing. 1) I truly don't care what you look like while you grocery shop; and I am not interested in reassuring you that you look awesome when all I want to do is say "Hi" and get on with it; and 2)Your daughters just heard that. And we wonder why our girls lack confidence????? They are listening to us. They are internalizing our messages. If we put ourselves down, or fish for compliments from random people, they will do it too. We can do better. BE who you are, and rock it. Beauty is first and foremost a light within. Let THAT be the message for those little girls, not that you need a full face of makeup to buy bread.
